The rain made me halt where I was in
the post yesterday. I thought it needed more
sharp edges and pronounced contrast
between the shadows and highlights.

Today was the Art in the Garden Tour for
the Vermont Arts Festival. The rain
came right after I took this photo, and it
seems a little dreamy with all the soft edges.
I think we need to solidify something,
either the trees in background, the house,
or the gardens around the house.
What's your vote?

I'll return next Thursday to have another
day painting on the site for the second
group for the Garden Tour. I'll pick a
different spot. So many wonderful areas
in Pierre and Mary's garden.

There was a lovely luncheon
at Susan & Peter MacLaren's Westhill B & B
for the bus load of garden and art fans!
