Many thanks. I really liked this one too and the constantly shifting boats and how they were lit was challenging to get right. I tried to paint the horizon just as it was Ming and I was located on a dock a bit higher during low tide. Landscapes don't always offer juxtapositions in such an obvious pleasant and seemingly direct way as this.
Nice body of work, Candy Barr! I saw you on Daily Painters and cruised on over to check out your blog. Very inspiring.

Hey Candy . . .
ReplyDeleteI dunno how you do it, but the warm tones in your water is wonderful! It really gives the water a feeling of aliveness!
Thanks Caren and Mike. Always nice to have support!
ReplyDeletelove the top right corner of the painting... helps create a really nice sense of depth
