This was such a stupendous site, listening to the rushing water and figuring out a composition quickly. I may need to go back into this to get the color back in the earlier layout above.
I love your step by step demo on this one. I like your blog too. Would you like to do a link exchange? I’m a fellow artist trying to build my ranking by getting more reciprocal links.
A few weeks ago I did a plein air painting along a little stream here in Oregon. The scene was almost identical--I mean rock by rock! However, my painting was terrible and a wipeoff. Yours is lovely.
Thanks so much Alberto, Diana, Nancy, Austin and Don. It definitely is interesting figuring out composition when surrounded by so much moving water and rocks!
Very good brush work on this one. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteFun to see this! Looks like a marvelous place too.
ReplyDeleteVery nice movement in the water. You've captured the energy!

ReplyDeleteGreat job. I like these falls paintings. I've got to do some bigger plein airs. It's good to see all the new paintings.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting Frank. I know, I am so exhilarated when I paint water, don't know why I don't do more myself!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful color, brushwork and values, one of my favorite's.
