I met August when she was a mid wife during
my first pregnancy in 1978. She's heading
to live for a month in Tanzania with a team of doctors
helping set up programs with the hospitals there.
She's worked in Central America countries as well.
She revisits them a number of times, until
they are trained in full.
She's currently the
Executive Director of Grounds for Health.
It's a beautiful portrait Candy full of strength and personality. Hope her work in Tanzania goes well.
