16 x 22 inches Oil on wood SOLD
This one took a nose dive as I was packing up
with a direct implant into the sand as sunrise complete.
I loved the painting and was so devastated,
I just let my spirit enjoy the fact that I did
the painting and had enjoyed the sunrise
listening to the tide go out.
The sparkles in the paint are an added benefit,
and really I just touched it up after it had dried,
so it was a good thing I didn't get too worked up.
It's taken me a while to consider "touching up"
on a plein air painting OK. Geez...
lighten up Candy.
Maybe there needs to be a
Certificate of Plein Air Authenticity,
where on the back of each painting done on
location ...there is a place to check off
what percentage was done in studio:
5 %, 10 %, 20%? If it was touched up
at all, even to straighten out the mast after it's
dry, then there you go... 5% in studio.
(I assume the mast is an important part
of the composition to figure 5%_!)
Without this certificate, one can hardly
trust it was done entirely on location.
Price hike for on location vs in studio?
Ah the pricing dialog. Later.

ReplyDeleteDominique, it's a tough world out there! Paintouts stamp the back of your canvas, so you won't bring a "start" or substitute when time's up.
