Long Legged Nude

14 x 14 Inches Oil on 1.5 deep cradled birch

Working with contrasts starting with the darks.
The landscapes this week were losing contrasts, so I specifically wanted to create a more dramatic setting. It was fun to chat with Billy Brauer who's back after losing the top of his left index finger in a table saw accident 2 weeks ago, and Frank Woods who was set up next to me on the table doing charcoal.
Cora Brooks gave me a returned postcard she had painted of a dove on one side, that was written last Dec 2008 to me. She said something like Happy Moose kiss and have good Holly daze...etc.. She found it while she was going through her papers and writings that HARVARD LIBRARY have accepted for their archives! Go Cora. (anyone want a sharp buy ...Cora's selling her 2 houses next door to each other in Chelsea, Vermont for $275,000. Classic New England capes.. She's moved to Montpelier)
