Crystal #22613 by Candy Barr

 8 x 10 inches Oil on canvas

These two were done from Monday night model at the Scottsdale Artists School
I'll reverse the order tomorrow. I did the smaller one first from farther away, and like it for the shapes throughout the pose. She had a lot of drapery on her that would naturally change after each 20 min break. The closer one on top I was focusing on her likeness probably too much.

On Chaise Lounge #2313 by Candy Barr

 16 x 20 inches Oil on canvas
this was started painting over an unfinished portrait that was upside down.
As some of the underpainting remains, and it's always interesting the surprising juxtaposition of the two paintings together for a while.  Sometimes it makes sense to leave some of it, but the equanamity of the pose and light with her shadow didn't seem to need the previous red. I did decide to remove the cushion below her as it raised her up too much looking like she was levitating on the lounge.

A tad overexposed - taken in nearly full sun outdoors. Didn't realize there was glare on painting.
