Crystal #22613 by Candy Barr

 8 x 10 inches Oil on canvas

These two were done from Monday night model at the Scottsdale Artists School
I'll reverse the order tomorrow. I did the smaller one first from farther away, and like it for the shapes throughout the pose. She had a lot of drapery on her that would naturally change after each 20 min break. The closer one on top I was focusing on her likeness probably too much.

A tad overexposed - taken in nearly full sun outdoors. Didn't realize there was glare on painting.

She Races Motorcycles! #11413 by Candy Barr

 24 x 24 inches Oil on canvas

Detail

During breaks she mentioned to me that she was going to be in a motorcross race on weekend! She and her boyfriend race motorcycles on dirt tracks... there goes the stereotype of biker chicks!  She was completely soft spoken and shy.

This is from series of quick studies on prepped lumber cut.

This one happened to have a blemish that I painted over...

The stance and back light works for me.
