 Bingham Falls was a challenging hike to get down to. Nicely placed rocks for steps along steepest part the last 1/4 of the way in, is not for weak knees.  The stream feeds into the West Branch Waterbury River.

The Smuggler's Notch Camp had a group of teens swimming today after I had set up to paint the falls.
Cold water...a few jumped from the top left!

It was raining both days I set up.  The thunder scared me off the first day, so I returned 2 days later with a continuing drizzler.  Same light!

She has such gorgeous hair, I didn't want it to define her in this portrait done on a 8 x 10 size canvas, so I cropped the image to frame her pretty face.

There were some color adjustments I finally got around to making from this June 28 post when I was in Maine. As the sun burned through the overcast morning, the colors were getting brighter.

Plein air at the Stowe Mt Golf Course
I had fine day doing demo for the Stowe Arts Festival. I set up in front of the Golf Cottage, after meeting the Golf Pro Ron Philo. The practice green is right below me next to the cart bridge. I've started a moose painting in my studio, and couldn't resist throwing one onto the putting practice green...some folks would later ask " Oh, we missed the moose!"
Maybe that's the point of buying paintings ~! You'll have the moment in time always~
