Plein air at the Stowe Mt Golf Course I had fine day doing demo for the Stowe Arts Festival. I set up in front of the Golf Cottage, after meeting the Golf Pro Ron Philo. The practice green is right below me next to the cart bridge. I've started a moose painting in my studio, and couldn't resist throwing one onto the putting practice green...some folks would later ask " Oh, we missed the moose!" Maybe that's the point of buying paintings ~! You'll have the moment in time always~ It's at my gallery in Stowe, Vermont Fine Art Gallery and looks pretty fine.
My daughter works at the Jim McLean Golf School at the Doral CC in Miami FL I found this article on her boss and made a painting from the his concept of the POWER LINE.
There's just the right amount of skiing reference with Mt Mansfield and trails in the background and golf predominating in the summer. The cast shadows from the right were dramatic relief to all the green... Oh the horror*..(*the greens - see 2 posts ago reference)
Here was practice round of the golf course I did before the paint out. The Bob Cuppcourse is a Audubon certified course: Environmental Planning, Wildlife and Habitat Management, Chemical Use Reduction and Safety, Water Conservation(recycles from man made lake using snow making water from winter to water course in summer), Water Quality Management, and Outreach and Education
Working on second painting of morning of the paint out. Completed painting posted when I get copy of it. Looking up at Mt Mansfield, in Stowe Vermont.A moose and her calf siting on the course earlier~ (photo credit Wendy Soliday)
